This is my layout for Survivor Week 4 @ gingersnaps. The challenge was to take 3 out of 6 of the given bug pictures and 'eat them' You had to extract them and one picture had to be of you. You were able t put them on your tongue but that's not eating.. thats letting them sit on yoru tongue. I extracted 4 bugs; ate 3 and about to eat the other one.. I like the play with my food before I eat. lol.

I DID move on to week 5; the last week.. the winner of this week will be the digi-scrap winner! YAY!!! This week's challenge is 'what would you do wiht 1 million dollars' - I already have a fun idea to do with it.. so... I hope it works out.

I totally can see myself using it for more than just this one layout. The color scheme and everything is gorgeous. +sigh+ She is growing so rapidly as a designer! HER STORE

Now, I started digi-scrapping back in March of this year [09] and the first designer I ever found was Digi-Designs By Nicole. I got her Dream Big; Floral Fusion AND Hello EAster kit. That was where it all began. My first layout ever had things from her Dream Big kit in it. It was the beginning of my addiction. lol.

She is one of my favorite designers and I have more kits from her than anyone else [except the wonderful wonderful designer I am a CT member for!!] and I am going to be posting for the next few days about my top THREE favs of hers that I don't currently own [which isn't many. lol]

Wow. Can I just say that I LOVE this color scheme?? Really? Brown + blue and/or pink is probably my favorite. My daughter's nursery was going to be in browwn & pink... until we couldn't afford a place of our own. My husband and I both planned on having a brown & blue bedroom [aparantly he doesn't want to sleep in a pink room??] but we couldn't find a bed set that we liked [so we have black & red now - which is good because dogs are terrors. lol.] This kit is just a kit that you can use for everything. I love it. I love kits that are universal and not themed.. =o)

Honestly, the last valentines day I had with my hubby wasn't that great - neither was our wedding anniversary [1st].. we hope to improve it 10 fold this year. I plan to take tons of pictures and I hope we get to have amazing memories that make up for the horribleness that happened to us before. I don't have any pictures from wonderful occassions for this kit; but I love it. I truly do. I also know that I will have those pictures.. when? soon.. I hope.

Scraps of Ellay has done it again! Look at this gorgeous kit, perfect for date night scrapping, obviously. =x But, think of other things you could do with it!! I'd use it to scrap anything with, it is very very versatile.. don't let that name fool you! The first thing that came to my mind was a dance recital.. not sure why, don't ask, but I can see it! lol.

Hey Hey! I have been known to surf the Stuff To Scrap Store WAY too often. lol. My wishlist is a mile long. But, one day!

Today, I would like to share with you one of my favorite items brought to you by Nibbles Skribbles.

I love all of her templates and it was a blast going through them all. I like this one, not only for the multitude of templates you get; but the heart & circle shaped layouts completely sold me! The heart on the top row is my absolute FAVORITE!!! I can think of SO many awesome things to do with that template. <3 If you want to go check out her STORE, I completely recommend it! I also recommend checking out this Template Super Set. May I also mention that every set she makes comes in 12inx12in as well as rectangle!

Last Boot Camp Mission

I forgot to post my layout I did for the last boot camp mission... which was just make a layout with at least 4 pictures & using all the techniques we learned. =o) I got a lot of good responses with this layout; but I'm sitll iffy on it. lol. I really wish that someone would make a designer bootcamp to teach people how to design things. I can make word art, alpha & a select FEW elements.. but.. everything else.. I'm SOL. =o(( That's okay - July 1st I'll have a few things to share with you all for *free* as part of a blog train. =o)

SPEED SCRAP LAYOUTS::
from newest to oldest

GUIDELINES
1. Choose any 3 papers you want.
2. Use 1 paper for your background. Cut the other 2 into strips to border your layout (you'll
need 4 strips total.)
3. Choose 3 photos from the same event.
4. Be sure all 3 photos are the same shape, but make sure each one is slightly bigger than
the next. Position them any way you want on your layout.
5. Use some stitches or staples somewhere (buttons or brads are also acceptable)
6. Use at least 1 flower and 1 doodle to embellish. Use more if you like.
7. Give me a 2 word title. Date and journal if you wish.

GUIDELINES
1: Choose 3 papers, 2 solid and 1 patterned
2: Stack or layer papers, putting patterned paper in the middle
3: Choose 2 different photos of the same person/people. One will be big and one will be small.
4: Make one photo large and blend it into your top paper.
Frame the smaller photo and put it in the corner of your layout
5: Choose at least 2 elements, different colors (can be the same element, as long as they are
different colors). Use each element 3 or more times in at least 2 different sizes and
cluster them around your smaller photo.
6: Use some something to "anchor" your top page (buttons, stitches, staples, etc...)
7: Title your layout and add your shadows. Date and journal if you'd like.

3. Frame your Picture and place it in the region of your lower left portion of your page.
4. Add a cluster of elements to the left side of your framed photo.
5 Add three hanging elements coming off from the cluster.
6. Place one element in the top right corner of your page.
7. Add a saying to your page, or a title describing your photo. Nothing more. You may date your page if you wish, but nothing else can be added

GUIDELINES
1. Choose 2 pictures, they must be a then and now of the same person!
2. Choose 5 papers. choose one for background, and two to double matte each of your photos.
3. Attach your picture to the mattes.
4. Use Alpha and font for your title. Make it BIG!
5. Use swirls on your page!
6. At 4 elements that are similar and 1 that is different!
7. Date your LO. (the then date and the now date) Don't forget to use drop shadows and post your LO! NO YOU MAY NOT ADD ANYTHING ELSE!!

Boot Camp Completed Mission #2.

Hey hey. I am part of a "boot camp" @ a forum and they post "missions" for us to do every week and this week was CLUSTER.CLUTTER. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE it. =o\ But, this is my THIRD version of it. If you want to see the other ones to see the progression I made, feel free:
Version #1 : I did this at 3am in the morning and I rusehd to get it done. In the morning, I looked at it and realized it was SO horrible - I was embarrassed!
Version #2 : Decided that I could imrpve on it... so I switched some things around and voila..

Here is the layout I did during a SS today @ stuff to scrap [hosted by Eva Marina]. I did this LO starting out at 12inx12in and then resized it down to 600x600 - I've never done that before! I usually just start out @ 600x600. =o\

Instructions:
STEP 1- Choose 1 picture. Feel free to resize it so it’s smaller. Convert it to either back and white or sepia.
STEP 2- Pick 5 papers. 1 should be solid, the other 4 should be patterned.
STEP 3- Make the solid paper your background. Cut the patterned papers into strips and layer them behind your photo.
STEP 4- Frame your photo and add embellishments. Keep it simple. (Only use a few elements)
STEP 5- Choose a one word title. Title your layout using an alpha.
STEP 6- Date your layout using a tag or label.
STEP 7- Add drop shadows. You may journal if you’d like, but it’s not required. You have one hour to upload your layout to the gallery and link it back to the forum.

Hey.
I'm Sica as some of you know from reading my profile. Some of you may know me as 'V' or 'velociraptorx' from some forums/websites. Anyways, this is my new blog I created to keep all my digi-scrapbook things at and to have my own little blog-spot on the net. =o)

I'm pretty new to the scrapbooking world in general. I started paper scrapbooking in january [and had tons of fun, but no -space- to do it anymore.] and then I start digi-scrapbooking probably around the middle of march. I've been wanting to do both for a long time now and I have a daughter and a husband and a few pups too - so now I actually have things to scrap! +laffs+ Anyways. I hope you all enjoy looking at the layouts I make for various fun-stuff.
